East Rose Self Catering Cottages
Our holiday cottages have all been converted from original farm buildings and offer plenty of character including 3 foot thick stone walls, vaulted roofs and exposed timbers. Our seven cottages, sleeping between one and six, are tastefully furnished and offer all the home comforts you could need, and combined with our stunning location offers you a wonderful holiday experience in Cornwall.

Useful Information
BBQ and Picnic Areas
There is a built in BBQ located
within the lawned area between Barn cottage and the lakes. Picnic
tables and benches can be found throughout the site, around the cottages
and lakes.
Bed Linen and Towels
Bed linen and kitchen linen are
provided free of charge. A towel set, of a hand towel and bath towel,
can be hired at £5 per person per week (free for overseas guests).

Check in / Check out
Cottages are ready from 3pm on arrival
days. We will be onsite to meet all arrivals. If you arrive early,
please find us at the main white house to check if your cottage is ready
for you.
If you anticipate arriving after 5pm, please ensure you contact us in advance to make arrangements for key collection.
We ask that cottages are vacated by 9.30am
on departure days. If you plan to leave early, we would be grateful if
you can let us know so we can make arrangements with housekeeping.
Prior to departing, we would be grateful if you can ensure rubbish and
recycling has been moved to the bin store.
If you have any homemade treats to pay for prior to departure, we will email you the day before departure to confirm the outstanding amount and to provide details for payment (online card link, BACS, cash).
Dogs
Dogs are welcome at East Rose, at an additional
charge of £30 per dog per week subject to prior arrangement, and strict
adherence to our dog booking conditions. (£5 per dog per night for short
breaks). Under no circumstances, are dogs to be let off their lead whilst on the grounds of East Rose.
Electric vehicle car points
We currently are not able to offer any charge points for electric vehicles at East Rose. Please do not attempt to use extension leads through cottage windows to charge from internal sockets in the cottages. This will damage the windows and you will be liable for repair costs.

Electricity and Heating
Electricity and heating is included in your holiday rental. All cottages have electric night storage heaters (expect Mowhay which has gas central heating).
Home Made Treats
We have a selection of made to order homemade treats available for you to purchase during your stay here at
East Rose. As all the items are made fresh to order, we ask that orders
are placed by midday the day before you want them. Both sweet and
savoury items are available, items on offer may include quiche, pasties,
sausage rolls, brownies, lemon drizzle loaf, scones, rock
buns, cookies. If you would like an up to date list and prices, please email or
call us.
Laundry Room
The laundry room is equipped with a
washing machine and tumble drier. An outdoor whirly washing line is
available for guests to use as well. The machines are operated by 2 x
£1 coins per wash, and 1x £1 coin per 60 min dry cycle.
Mobile phone signal
We are located in a beautifiul rural location on Bodmin Moor, which does mean mobile signal can be low. Some networks can be picked up in some cottages, but most guests find they need to be at the top of the site near the main entrance to get a mobile signal. Most guests quite enjoy this, being able to really get a way from it all!
Newspapers and Post Office
Daily papers and a Post Office is available from Blisland Shop.
Parking and unloading
Our main car park is down the slope to your right as you enter the
site. If you are a blue disabled badge holder, you can park in our
disabled parking on the left as you enter the site, if you wish. Cars
are unable to get outside any of the cottages.
You can unload from either the car park, or if you prefer, you can pull up to the wooden barrier in front of you as you enter the site for unloading/dropping off etc. There are two luggage trolleys which you will see in front of you if you are at the wooden barrier. Please move your vehicle back to the car park as soon as possible after unloading/loading.
Recycling and Rubbish
Our recycling and bin store is
located in the small slate roofed building between Stable Cottage and
the lakes. There are a number of labelled containers for the recycling
that is collected fortnightly. There are also a number of bins for
general refuse.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted in the cottages or any of our facilities - this includes smoking through open doors/windows of the cottage. Please remove cigarette ends afterwards.
Supermarkets
Home
deliveriesare available from local supermarkets. Please ensure
delivery is arranged for after your arrival. The postcode for East Rose
is PL30 4NL.
If you wish to visit a supemarket yourself, in
Bodmin you will find an Asda (PL31 2AR), Sainsbury's (PL31 2SS),
Morrisons (PL31 2ST), Aldi (PL31 2FJ), Lidl (PL31 2AA) and Iceland (PL31
2HQ). In Wadebridge you can find a Tesco (PL27 7HW), Aldi (PL27 7FE),
Lidl (PL27 7AL) and a Co-Op (PL27 7DA).
Torches!
We do have low level outdoor lighting around the pathways between the car park and cottages, but a torch would be recommended. Especially if you have a dog who you are taking for walks in the dark, or if you opt to walk to the village pub in the evening (a leisurely 30-35 minute walk on the moorland road).
Village Shops
We are fortunate to have two local village shops within a 2-3 miles of East Rose. Both are well stocked with a variety of standard essentials, as well
as products from many local Cornish producers including local dairy products (milk, cream, butter etc), meat from local butchers, local free range eggs, fresh bakery deliveries, fruit and vegetables and a selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks.

Wellies!
Wellies are a must! Especially to enable to you comfortablly enjoy early morning walks walks around the lakes - there will be lots of dew!
